Middle School

Computer Science for
Middle School

Middle School education is responsible for developing students’ interests and personal traits beyond elementary school. For example, those traits include good learning habits, improved cognitive abilities, and healthy social-emotional competencies.

Makeblock Education Solutions for middler schoolers are designed to develop students’ higher-order thinking and coding skills. They include well-equipped teaching resources and elaborate programming projects.

The Makeblock Education design process allows students to Understand, Explore, and Visualize. Thus, the process gives all students the ability to fully engage with age appropriate expectations.

The Makeblock Journey

mBlock 5 Software Journey, focused on middle school learners

mBlock 5 can be accessed through an online browser, the app, or downloaded to PC or Mac. The software allows students the ability to control a character by dragging and connecting the individual code blocks to create a program. At this level, mBlock 5 can be utilized with CyberPi and the mBot line.

mBlock 5 is ideal to teach the basic principles of programming for middle school students. This can be done through block-based programming. As a result, students can then make the first steps into more advanced computer science concepts.
