The Automotive Extension Kit for mBot2 is the result of the close collaboration between Makeblock Education and Continental. Born from a mutual intent to inspire a new generation of engineers, this unique kit allows students to experience the automotive industry through a fun approach and an engaging deep dive into STEAM.

The project started from some of the key elements that Continental stands for: making mobility safer, cleaner, more comfortable through Intelligent Connectivity and Safety Technologies. We then translated and evolved these concepts into an exclusive learning tool.
This unique kit allows students to learn in a practical and fun environment, by interacting with the mBot2 in real time and experiencing driving through the robot.

Add-on to mBot2*
This kit is a premium add-on kit to mBot2, a next-generation educational robot designed with extended capabilities, starting as an entry-level solution in lower secondary education and going all the way to upper secondary and beyond.
*mBot2 kit is not included.
Exclusive Design
A steering wheel specifically designed by Continental to embed the CyberPi, creating the necessary connection between the steering wheel and the mBot2 through Wi-Fi.
Sneak preview into the Automotive Industry
Automated Driving
Thanks to the ranging sensors, the mBot2 can detect if enough space is available between simulated vehicles and if there is, the vehicle will maneuver autonomously and park. Other functions like platooning and overtaking can be experienced.
ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems)
When driving, if you leave your lane unexpectedly, the mBot2 will detect it and bring you back to the middle of the lane. Also, if you come too close to the vehicle just ahead, the mBot2 will immediately slow you down.
Connected Car
The mBot2 can connect to other vehicles for an enhanced driving experience. In case of sudden and strong deceleration or if the vehicle turns upside down, an emergency call is triggered.
